He's HERE!!!

These are in no order:)

So once again it has been a while since I have blogged. I have some very special news to share, our son Kesler Peter arrived December 27th at 4:57pm. He weighed 9lbs 3oz and was 52cm long. Thought I would share the birth story so for those of you who do not care to hear it you can stop reading :)

I woke up December 27th around 1am with contractions that ranged from 7-9minutes apart. I waited an hour before I woke John up to tell him as I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't know how quickly they could go from 7 to 5 to 3 minutes apart as both of my other pregnancies my water broke first. So we sat around for a while trying to decide if we should phone my mom to come or if we should wait. It takes my mom a good 20 minutes to get here so we didn't want to wait too long but we also didn't want to wake her if I wasn't truly in labor yet.(as she was having her family over for Christmas that evening) So John went back to bed downstairs while I went to bed and slept between contractions. In the morning i was still having them but they were not regular and still 7 minutes apart. At lunch time I decided that we would drop the girls off at my moms and come home to sleep, this way we wouldn't have to worry about them if things picked up:) So we fed them lunch, packed their bags and headed out the door to Aldergrove. As we were driving the contractions picked up and were now only 5 minutes apart. By the time we got to my mom's they were 3 minutes apart and John was FREAKING out!! We dropped the kids off and stopped at the Mcdonalds Drive thru for John as he hadn't eaten anything and we didn't know how long this labor would take. My contractions had slowed down and the last thing I wanted to do was go to the hospital and be sent home so I told John to drive through the mall parking lot and hit every speed bump(this would bring on a contraction) After doing a lap I felt we should probably get to the hospital. I couldn't even walk to the traige without having a contraction in the entry way and in the hallway!! Dr. Shaw was on that day and she checked me and I was 2cm dialated and my cervix was soft. She said to get me a room and she would break my water. They hooked me up to an IV as babies heart beat dropped everytime I had a contraction. My blood pressure was also to high and I was SOOOOO HOT!!
They brought me to my room and Shaw came in and broke my water around 3pm and told me to go for a walk. The contractions were pretty bad at this point and I just wanted it to be over already!! One lap was all my legs could do, so they got me a exercise ball to sit on. At this point my hip and back pain was brutal. They tried giving me the gas but just the thought of putting my mouth on the thing made me sick and I threw up. The pain was pretty bad and the babies heart beat kept dropping which was a very scaring feeling. Finally around 4ish I thought I was going to die:) His head was sideways causeing some serious pressure. At 4:45 Shaw pulled John aside and told him I had two contractions to get this baby out or she would use a vaccuum as she was concerned about his heart beat(the cord was around his neck) At 7cm dilated the next contraction came and I pushed with all my might and his head turned and he flew out! Oh what a relief that was. This was by far the WORST labor/delivery I have had. Thankfully I did not tear and needed no stitches:) The nurse Mildred was great. SHe was in our room the entire time from start to finish watching his heart rate. She also was kind of annoying and John felt like punching her out. Her famous line was " the third baby syndrome, they never cooperate!" This is what she would say when i was having a contraction:) Anyways Kesler arrived with a full head of hair and entered the world poohing everywhere:)
After he was born John drove out to my parents to get the girls so they could have some alone time before the rest of the family came to meet him.
On Friday I brought Kesler into Shaw's office to have his tongue snipped as he was tongue tied and they were concerned that it might effect his speech later on. the whole procedure was super quick and he barely cried. At the appointment Shaw thought he looked Jaudice and sent me to go and get lab work done for him. The results came back two hours later that his level was at 330, Shaw said this was too high and that I needed to top him up with formula to try and flush out his system. And also to go back to maternity the next morning to see Driedger to get more blood work done. His levels came back Saturday morning at 321. It had gone down so I was cleared to go back home and continue to top him off. On Sunday we went to church and after lunch I decided to go back to the hospital to get more blood work done to make sure his levels were still coming down as he was still pretty yellow. His numbers had spiked to 369 and we were admitted to the Pediatric Ward where Kesler was put under blue lights to help the Jaundice. He was there from Sunday 5pm till Monday 2pm. I was an emotional wreck. Baby blues peak at 5 days after you deliver and having not slept in 4 days I couldn't stop the tears! Thankfully the night Kes was under the lights I managed to get some sleep:)
He is such a cutie, we have people telling us he looks like Camryn and Janae and I too think it's a combo. His eyes look like they might be brown but we'll have to wait a few more days to truly see what happens:)
We chose the name Kesler during the NHL Playoffs. Having head the name Kesler throughout the playoffs numerous times I fell in love with it as well as the shortened version..KES!! Peter is my dads name and I really wanted our son to carry on a family name from my side. It was a toss up between Gunther(my maiden name) and Peter. John liked Peter better so that is what we went with. It is after my dad but my grandpa and great grandpa are/were Peter as well. Also my mom's dad's middle name is Peter so it covers alot of people on my side.

So there is the short story of Kesler's arrival:) I will try and upload some pics

here we go

So I started off pretty good blogging every couple of days but I just haven't had the time or energy to blog lately. Plus I just don't know where to begin and lately with dealing with Janae I feel that maybe others don't want to hear me talk about it(or complain about it) so I haven't really felt like blogging either. But as November comes to an end thought I would give a little update on our family.

Janae is still having anxiety issue about school, however her anxiety only appears as I leave school and for a short period after I am gone. We are only doing half days(till lunch) eveyday and this seems to be working and helping her out. I have met with Jalene from Youth and Mental Health who has given me suggestions and has helped Janae's teacher as well. Janae and I will be attending Anxiety Classes in January that will give Janae(an me) coping skills to deal with the anxiety and hopefully by mid January we can attempt full days. There is a lot of details about anxiety and how it effects kids and stuff so if anyone ever wants to learn more about anxieties in kids or adults feel free to message me as I know lots on both as I too struggle with anxieties. Anyways right now Jalene and Janae's teacher feel half days are best for her especially with baby coming and Christmas.
We have seen the anxieties move to other areas of Janae's life. She no longer can go to Sunday School or Kids Club. She really wants to be there but just can't go. It's hard because I know she wants to be there but when her anxiety is heightened she is unable to think resonably or think clearly so it's a battle and often I feel like I am a failure at being a mom cause I don't know what to do and then also worrying about what other people think. I know some of you will read this and think I should just drop her off and she'll get over it but I have come to a point where I just don't want to hear peoples opinions on it anymore(maybe that is why I don't want to share about it on here) I am working with professionals now and so I just have to stand my ground and do what we feel is best for my child:) I pray that one day she'll just snap and the anxieties will be gone, but I think it is wishful thinking. I am hoping that the coping classes will give Janae the control back she needs to deal with her anxieties.

Camryn is loving preschool. She is one little social bug and comes home everyday talking about a new person she played with. She is such an affectionate child who is constantly telling me she loves me and kisses and hugs me throughout the day:) She's almost 4 in 4.5 weeks and she is looking forward to her birthday!! We'll see how she is when the baby is born as she doesn't seem that excited about it, but I am sure once he comes she'll come around at least I hope so:)!!

Pregnancy is going good, although I think I am done. My stomach is only getting bigger which means these stretch marks are getting longer and some new ones are coming. I have only gained 7 pounds so it seems rediculous that I would be getting new stretch marks, oh well this body was far from perfect before having kids and I guess it's staying that way, no more bikini's for me!!! I went back on decletin not so much for feeling sick but I find it helps me sleep:) I went for my hospital tour yesterday and I look forward to experiencing the new hospital as both girls were born at MSA.
We painted (my mom and me) the nursery last week and everything is ready to go except the bedding which my mom is sewing.
I have been terribly sick the past two weeks now with a horrible cold, cough, sinus infection, headaches and lack of sleep. I finally am starting to feel normal again so baby can come anytime:)

Christmas is around the corner and the house is decorated and Christmas shopping is DONE!!! The kids actually put up the tree with John and decorated it for me while I was shopping with my mom. Let's just say I redid it two days later cause I am really picky about my tree:)

Ok so there is a quick update on everyone, a bunch of rambling. Should really hire my sister to write my posts as she is such a gifted writer unlike me.

Pumpkin Patch #2

So today it was Camryn's turn to go to the pumpkin patch with her preschool class. John had already booked the day off to head out hunting but decided that he would go to Camryn's field trip first and than go, which Camryn was super excited about!! We all took Janae to school where she stayed till 1pm today and did a great job:)
We went to the Apple Barn which is on Gladwin Road here in Abbotsford. They had a lot of things for the kids to do. I think Camryn's favorite thing was the jumping pillow. It was very cold outside but thankfully no rain.
John left us at lunch to go hunting and will be back on Monday hopefully empty handed!!

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

So on Tuesday Janae's class went to Willowview farms to pick a pumpkin. John decided to take the day off so he could be a volunteer!! This made Janae super happy. Camryn and I met the class at the farm but Janae and Daddy went on the BUS!!! Did you know that taking a bus at the age of 5 or 3 is the most thrilling thing???
Anyways we woke up to rain and it didn't look promising. For the first part of the field trip it poured and then about half an hour in the clouds broke a part and the sun started to shine and it turned out to be a great morning.
Here are some pics from the day. I will post again after Camryn's field trip this Friday to the Apple Barn which John will be coming to as well!! His girls are sure lucky:)

Getting Somewhere

So it has been two really hard weeks in the Jefremow family. Janae has been having some anxiety issue with going to Kindergarten. It was pretty bad for a while where she wouldn't sleep well at night, wake up crying and then not eating. As a mom it was brutal to watch as I didn't know how to help her. Being pregnant doesn't help either with my emotions so these past two weeks were super hard on me and my body.
So after some serious prayer and thinking I decided last week that I would stay for Monday and Tuesday morning with her and help the teacher out. This was great for Janae. Than came Wednesday and I told her I had to bring Camryn to school and then would be back. Well with lots of tears and carrying her to the car(which almost killed me) I got her to school, dropped Camryn off and was back in Janae's class within 45minutes. But then an hour later she told me I could leave as they had recess and gym and she would be fine!!! YEAH. So thursday and Friday she went with her blanky to school, still said but went without a fight! I did visit her at recess Progress!!
Monday morning came and she was all worked up and worried again but got ready and went to school, I visited at recess which didn't work very well cause I was late and so she was balling her eyes out!! Monday evening she shared with me that she likes school and is excited about it but just has problems when we get there and she doesn't know why.
Tuesday I had a doctors appointment which fell right at recess so she was pretty upset about me not coming at recess but when I went to pick her up she said she had a friend a recess to play with so it was ok that I was not there!!YEAH.
Yesterday she went to school with NO TEARS and had an AWESOME DAY!! (When i say day I mean morning till lunch)
Today was another sad day but i know she will get over it and be fine:) We are still only doing half a day and I will continue to pick her up at lunch till I feel she has gained enough confidence in the half day as I really don't agree with the full day anyways!!!.
Ok so that is Janae:)
Camryn is doing awesome at preschool, making new friends. She has a friend from church there already but she keeps telling me how she doesn't want to play with her because she has to make new friends!! I think she has been listening to our constant talks with Janae and is a little confused:) But thankfully she loves preschool and she has been such an encouragement to Janae by sharing things like " Janae when I feel sad at preschool I just dream about Jesus and then I fell better" " today is going to be just like yesterday and you are going to be fine!!!" So cute.
Pregnancy wise I am doing good I guess, or should I say baby is doing fine. I got them to do an ultra sound in their office again to confirm that it really is a boy as I just bought all the "BOY" fabrics for the room;) And yes it is a BOY! I have lost a pound which doesn't surprise me after how stressed out I have been the past 2 weeks. Doctor said I am doing perfect for my weight gain as I was not suppose to gain any!!! Right now I am still under the weight I was pre pregnancy which is AWESOME!!!
The girls went this week to Kids Klub on a school Bus!! They were so excited. They go every Tuesday to a local church for their Awana Program with their cousin. This is something both girls look forward to. Each week they have to learn a verse and do a bible study at home which they love doing. So it is working great. Strange thing is that Janae has no problem leaving me for this just because her cousin who is the same age as her is there! Weirdo.

Ok so that is enough rambling and sorry if it sounds choppy and crazy that is how I write and talk!!!

Not so good day!

So today was super hard. This weekend Janae kept saying how much she hated kindergarten and didn't want to go. I know already on Thursday she was saying, " I don't like kindergarten but I will go because I know I have to." She wasn't showing any signs of being upset when I dropped her off and I heard nothing from her teacher so I thought all was good. Well this morning when I went to drop her off, the teacher opened the door and Janae came to me and had tears in her eyes. So I helped her to her classroom to get her indoor shoes on and hang her back pack. Still she was crying these sad sad tears. At this point I am in tears as well and can't speak cause I will start bawling if I open my mouth:) I walk her to circle, reassure her she will be ok and I tell her I will come and see her at lunch time and I leave. I leave bawling my eye's out in the car and Camryn saying" Mommy I think you are crying real tears!!" I get to Camryn's preschool where my girlfriend shows up and say " not a good morning" and look up at her to see that she too is bawling as her daughter didn't want to go to school either. So the two of us (Both pregnant) sat together laughing and crying like babies with our preschoolers looking at us weird!
At lunch time I went to Janae's school and waited at the playground. She came out with her grade 5 buddy crying. Her buddy Taleah told me that Janae had cried the whole time at recess too. Janae came into my arms crying and telling me how she has cried all day, her eyes looked so tired and she was a bit pale and complaining of a headache. After our 20 minute lunch break together she was all smiles and ready for the afternoon. When I came to pick her up she was beaming from ear to ear. She said she had a good afternoon but still doesn't want to go back tomorrow:( I am just hoping there are no tears tomorrow.
At home I talked to Janae more about school and she shared with me that she had cried last week at school as well but didn't want to tell me cause she was embarressed:( felt horrible that she wanted to be so brave for me:(
Tomorrow she is looking forward to starting Kiwanis at a local church so I think that will help her get through her day maybe tearless?? Ahhhhh, why did they switch kindergarten for full time. I am a strong believe that it is NOT in the child's best interest. This is purely done for the working mom and from talking to parents they are the ones who think it is so great, not because they think their child needs full kindergarten but because it frees them of finding child care and paying for it. I hope that by keeping Janae in kindergarten she will overcome her loneliness and find a good friend that she looks forwards to seeing at school and that this doesn't cause anxiety issues for her.
On the other hand Camryn did great and is loving school, helps that she has a good friend to go with:)
Pregnancy wise a couple of weeks ago I started to have some really bad pains in my pelvic area, which I went to the doctors to see about as it got to the point where I couldn't even lift my legs to pull my pants on with out sitting down. Doctor told me it would probably be there my entire pregnancy and to try and avoid things that bothered it. Well last night in the middle of the night I got up to use the washroom and when I climbed back in bed I did something and there was this crack/thud sound and shift in my hip and then all the pain dissappeared. And all day today it has been fine, so I guess it wasn't a muscle thing like the doctor kept saying but something out of place. Hoping it stays in place from now on:)

First Day of Kindergarten!!

This week Janae went to preschool Monday and Tuesday from 1-2:30pm and did fantastic. No anxieties about it just excitement. So excited about this next step that she doesn't even say bye to me before she runs into her class:( Make me a little sad that she is adjusting so well but am also super glad she is as it would be so hard to leave her if I new she didn't want to be there!
Today is her first full day. She was beaming from ear to ear as she waited outside her classroom. Because of my latest pregnancy condition (pelvic stabilization pain) I can not walk Janae the 5 minutes to school because the hill literally kills me. So in order for me to get a parking spot near her classroom we leave a good 20 minutes early and hang around:) Janae came home all excited about her day. She's funny in that every day she has come home she talks about all the kids who weren't listening and how the teacher was getting so frustrated. Janae said, " these kids are unbelievable!!" Today she had a similar story where she said, " the teacher had a grumpy day, she had to ask some kids if she needed to yell at them or not cause they were not listening" Thankfully I don't have to worry that Janae is one of those kids, she is always so well behaved for others (not always for me). She said she did go through periods of the day where she wasn't sure she wanted to be there as it felt very long and she misses preschool but overall she was totally fine. I am sure once everyone gets in the swing of things the program will include more academics and structure which might help the day not feel so long. Janae isn't a huge free play kind of person she'd rather be told to do a work book or activity then to just play:) Anyways it's been a relief for me that she is so excited and is adjusting well, I hope it will continue.
My biggest fear was that Janae would have a hard time making friends as she tends to be shy and reserved among strangers but that isn't the case. Apparently today she had two girls wanting to play with her and Janae said, " I didn't want to have to chose so I just played by myself" How sweet is that:) Of course I gave her ideas for next time on how to figure that problem out:)

Camryn also had her first day of preschool and SHOOT I forgot to take a picture ( i will on friday) she was super excited to leave me and do this all by herself. It is very rare that Camryn gets to do things on her own as she usually has Janae with her so this was something new for her. I was a little concerned in summer that she was feeling anxious about preschool but I no longer worry as she is doing great!! I have never heard her talk so much in the car. I guess she finally didn't have to compete with Janae but also she finally had something to tell me that I didn't already know. She is already counting the sleeps till the next preschool days.
She is having a hard time understanding when she will be 4. We did a half birthday in summer so every day she asks if she is 4 yet. And because we always said "You will go to preschool when you are 4" she thought today she was 4. Oh well she'll figure it out once her birthday comes I guess!!

I am doing fine, I know I mentioned some uncomfortable pain I am having, doctor just says to be careful but it is something I will have the rest of the pregnancy!! Just praying it doesn't get worse:(

Wedding DAY!!!

This past weekend my niece Missy married the love of her life Tyler Morrison. They have been together for I think like 2 years?? The wedding took place up at Manning Park Resort. It ended up being a gorgeous day out, nice and HOT!! The ceremony was held at Lighting Lakes and it was just perfect. Missy is a huge animal and nature lover and this setting was just perfect for her. The water glistening in the sun, mountains all around and loons in the lake making their calling noise and an eagle soaring above, just perfect!!!
My girls were super excited for this day as they were the flower girls!! My mom sewed their dressed and made their halo's. Janae was excited about wearing her "High Heel's" for the wedding but realized after the ceremony that they really are not the comfy:) (always wanting to be so grown up!!) The girls did great. I ended up curling their hair and I think I did a pretty good job! John was busy at the wedding as well as he was the musician for the ceremony as well as the MC for the reception. He did a fantastic job at both:)
The whole day was just beautiful, we all enjoyed ourselves. The girls performed at the reception singing " You are My Sunshine" They had Missy in tears as well as some others.
Here are some pictures of the special day!!

24 weeks Pregnant Photo

This is me now!
This was me pregnant with Camryn. With Janae I was barely showing at 24 weeks!!

Here's me at 24 weeks and 4 days, I chopped my head off cause it wasn't a good hair day. I have also posted the picture of me at 24 weeks when I was pregnant to compare. I think my belly is about the same but man was I smaller everywhere else. I was showing Janae pictures of me when I was just pregnant with Camryn and she's like "you are so skinny like Aunti Sonja" Now I have never been that skinny, but she was right I was so thin. However at the time I thought i was huge. I have a long way to go once this baby arrives to get my body back!!!! :(

It has been almost 2 years!!!

I don't know why I gave up blogging. I guess I felt that I am just not that great at writing. My sister has the gift of writing and has two blogs and people rant and rave about how well she writes. And then there is me, worst grammer, sentence structure and a bunch of babble all over the place!!
But today as I was reading other peoples blogs I thought I should start again for myself. To keep a journal of what is going on in our lives. There are some huge changes in our family and I think I want it documented, we'll see how long this lasts.

Ok so I am not going to go back two years so I will just start with the latest happenings in the Jefremow house to get you all up to speed!!

In April after a year and a half of trying we found out we were Pregnant with #3!! We were so excited that is finally happened. As far as the due date, that we weren't so thrilled about. We would be due December 25th!! For those of you who followed my blog in the past you will know that our 2nd child is a December 25th baby as well. We are hoping for a early baby but you just never know. I am 24 weeks at the moment and feel pretty tired, forgetful and miserable!! I have so much stomach and groin pain a simple walk kills me. I am pretty moody and have little to no patience with my girls. I am still taking decletin and still throw up randomly in the middle of the night. We have talked about a 4th but even I am not totally sold on that, I HATE being pregnant:) I have a feeling the next 4 months will feel like forever!!
Oh and I forgot to mention.... IT'S A BOY!!!! That in itself scares me, no idea what to do with boys!!

Yesterday Janae started KINDERGARTEN, can you believe it!!! It was only an hour long orientation time but the feeling I got there and same with Janae was that everything is going to be ok, she will adjust and like this new phase of her life!!! She goes for a 15minute one on one with her teacher and than next week does Monday/Tuesday afternoon and then Wednesday is full time already, 8:30-2:30pm!!! We'll see how these mornings go, hopefully not a lot of yelling:)
Janae is still a very independent, smart child. Probably to smart for her own good a lot of hte times. Most times we just laugh when she says things cause we just don't know what to do. It worries me what her teenage life is going to be like. We are both VERY much the SAME which will probably cause a lot problems in the future:)

Camryn went for her preschool orientation today. In summer we had a couple of weeks where I wasn't sure if Camryn was really ready for preschool as she was showing some signs of anxiety. But today she was super excited and was ready for us to leave! But we'll wait till next week for that:) Camryn has been very testy lately. She has discovered lying and they are not good lies. Things like telling us that water jumped out of the bath tub and got her wet, when really she peed her pants. Or saying she goes places with her aunts when I am sleeping. She also will lie about simple things I ask her. Gets pretty annoying at times thankfully she isn't good at it so we can usually tell right away. She isn't as easy going as she used to be. She likes staying at home which is hard cause Janae and I love to be out and about all the time. She sure is growing up and it makes me a little sad.

John is still busy working for Remple Brothers Concrete at the Langley plant. Last week a bunch of guys from his plant won 3.2 million! John was not part of the pool:( but it was still exciting to know the people that did win:)

This weekend is my nieces wedding. She is getting married up at Manning Park. The girls are the flower girls and John is playing guitar for the ceremony as well is the MC for the reception!! Looks like it will be a gorgeous weekend for a wedding.

Ok so there you have it a little update of what is happening. Will see how often I do posts but thought I would catch you up on the latest!

Happy 2nd Birthday Camryn!!

I will attach pictures when i get a chance!
Wow have these past two years flown by, i really feel like Camryn should be turning 3! I think about last year and it seems wierd to think that last Christmas Camryn wasn't even walking!! crazy. This year Camryn has learned so much. She has mastered talking!! Putting words together and creating sentences to telling stories. She melts our hearts with her kindness and love. I LOVE putting her to sleep and as i close the door to her room she says, "Love you MAMA!!" LOVE IT!!! She is quick to say sorry if she feels she has done something to someone, this is completely opposite of Janae:) She loves playing with otehre kids and engaging in play and understands instructios well. She loves to color and read books, her favorite are Dora the Explorer. She loves anything Dora including the movies. We listen to DOra books on cd in the car which is kind of annoying to the rest of us but she loves it and knows them off by heart! She loves to sing!! It is amazing at how quickly they pick up the words in the car. She adores her big sister and the two of them can be the best of friends and the worst enemy sometimes. But for the most part they play well with each other and love to cuddle with each otehr. Just yesterday I came into the living room and Janae was half laying on Camryn and Camryn was givingi Janae "nice nice" it was so sweet. She is a very caring and nurturing child.
Camryn got rid of the bottle just over a month ago when she battled a really bad cold so she stopped taking it during that time and never asked for it again. We still need to work on the soother though, she has a little bit too often for my liking especially because it interferes with her talking!! We'll fight that battle in the new year. Camryn has started potty training, i have not started so it only happens when she initiates it, this is how janae was potty trained as well we let her make the move! Camryn has gone # 2 many times already. She sits on the potty and whispers, "shhh pooh's coming!" cute, well at least its cute when a two year old says it.
Camryn would love to be in preschool already and she is totally ready for it. She gets to come with me when I am the mommy helper at Janae's school and she loves it!
Camryn is a monkey when it comes to playgrounds she loves climbing and is really good at it. she follows Janae everywhere on the structures and masters it wihtout our help. Thankfully she is not nearly as clumsy as her dear sister:)
Camryn makes everyone smile with her big smile and closed eyes as her smile is just too big!
We love her so much and can not wait to see what is instore for thsi year in her life.
HAPPY 2nd Birthday CAMRYN!!!

Apple Daze

Saturday was a mixture of weather, so we decided to hit up the MCC sale at Tradex in the morning and then in the afternoon when the sun came out we headed to Willowview farms in abbotsford to pick some apples, the petting zoo, hayride and play area. The girls had a blast and we had a great afternoon. Here are some pics of our day.

First day of Preschool

AHh preschool. We thought we would wait til Janae was four to start school but when i read in a local paper about a 1 day a week preschool class i thought this was a great idea or Janae. I signed her up and brought her to school on her first day to realize that the teacher was a drop out from the college i graduated from while doing my ece. She wasn't a licensed staff and her supervision of the children was rediculous. Needless to say i was totally disappointed and ticked off a little as i was never told it was an unlicensed center. I thought all preschools had to be but apparently not, should have done more research. Anyways after her first day at this preschool and I wanted her out of there as I really didn't feel safe leaving her there in their care. So i phoned around as I new Janae would be devasted if i she coulnd't go to school at all. Thankfully when i phone MEI they had just had a child drop out of the morning class, exactly what i needed. So i registered her and we went to see the teachers. Janae had gone to one class for an hour and half and then the next week we had hand foot and mouth disease here. This disease only shows systems 7 days after being infected. Camryn had it the worst. There were blisters throughout her mouth(more then 15) and her hands feet and bum were covered as well. The only treatment is tylenol with codeine. My sisters girl got it is as well. So Janae missed preschool last week and now with her broken arm she will miss this week as well and maybe next week as well. she is very sad about this as she LOVES school. She loves her teachers and loves that she gets to be on her own like a big girl. They just grow up way to fast.

First Trip to the OR

So these pics are of Janae had home sporting her new sling. Picture of me dressed up as a "nurse" to bring janae into the OR. Janae and me right before she went in for surgery and Janae in her big bed.

So as most of you know Janae broke her right arm this week and so i thought i would post a the few pics we took(John forgot to bring the camera) with John's phone and give you the detailed story of what happened that led to a trip to the ER and later the OR.

Monday morning I dropped of Josh(the boy I watch) off at school and went to walmart. Around 9 we were driving around and trying to figure out what we wanted to do. I just didn't want to go home and clean my house! So Janae asked to go to the Mill Lake park which i never take her too because i hate that park and think it is unsafe(I always have found this park not super safe, more for camryn then Janae). Anyways i figured there wouldn't be many kids there so i would go. Off we went.
Janae was running around on the play structure and had already slipped on the bridge part. I was talking a to friend and I had just finished telling her that i was going to maybe go for a walk cause i thought the play structure was to slippery. (it was covered in dew). Janae went to the corkscrew fire pole and put one foot and hand on to realize that it was too wet and attempted to go back on the play structure when her foot slipped and she fell down, all the way from the top of the structure. Her right arm was out and so she fell on it. She was screaming and i ran across the playgroung knowing that the way she was screaming that something was really wrong. I had to take her jacket off to see the arm and realize that around her elbow it was scrapped and swollen and lopsided looking. So off we went to the Emergency. Everything went pretty quick in emerge thankfully. She was screaming pretty good the entire time. She had x rays done and within 20 minutes the pedeatric ortho surgeon came to tell us that they would be operating on her arm at 3pm. she had fractured her arm and twisted it. I was bawling at this point trying to hold myself together for Janae but thoes of you who know me, i cry pretty quickly. They admitted Janae. John took camryn home for a nap and Janae and i waited in our room on the peds floor for her surgery. John came back to the hospital at 3 after my mom went to my house to watch camryn. Janae was taken to the OR at 3:30pm and I didn't take her to the operating table til 5:00pm. It was the worst feeling ever. John and i tried hard to keep ourselves together but both of us had tears flowing. I took janae and was there til she closed her eyes and was out. She was in recovery within an hour. They reset her arm and have put two pins in her arm. I didn't get a chance at the hosptial to find out details so i hope to get some more clear answers next week. She woke up and was pretty groggy and continued to open her eyes and then fall back asleep. She has a 3/4 cast on so it almost covers her whole are and starts at her wrist and goes up to her shoulder. She will be in this for three weeks. At 3 weeks she will have the pins removed while awake and then another cast for three weeks.
It was such a nice stay at the hospital. We had a private room and visitors were allowed to visit at anytime during the day or night. John was even allowed to stay if her wanted to!
We were discharged at 4pm on Tuesday. Janae was really afraid to use her arm at first or move period but after a few times moving and seeing that it doesn't hurt like it did the day before when it was broken she has gotten quite comforatble moving aroun.
Janae slept ok last night. today she was doing puzzels, writing with her left hand(maybe she will switch and become a lefty) and helped me bake apple pie.
She is super thankful for all of you who prayed for her during this time and for the many visitors. She is sad that she has to miss preschool and can't play at the park. The minute we arrived home from the hospital she asked to put on her princess play shoes!! are you kidding me.:)
These next 6 weeks will probably be torturouse for all of us. Janae was already asking today at dinner when we were going to get out of the house!! Oh dear she has turned into me:)
So that is the story. Our next doc appointment is with teh surgeon who operated on her DR.Wikkham where she will have more x rays done.

Walk for Autism

Hey, for thoes of you who do not know I take care of a 13 year old boy with Autism. He is a high functioning autistic child and is pretty independent. If you go to their website www.walknowforautism.org and click the donate button and search Joshua French or Fraser Falcons.I had him full time in August and now he is in school so i only have him for a bit before school and then for a couple of hours after school. He is such an amazing child, super polite, well mannered, amazing with little kids and affectionate. He is such a joy to have in my home. It is a little louder in my house these days but it's fun.

I want to post a link for the Walk for Autism that Josh is participating in at the end of the month. He is trying to raise $1000.00. If you feel like you want to donate and help children with autism you can donate your money by going to their website www.walknowforautism.org and click the donate button and search Joshua French or Fraser Falcons.

Thanks

For My DAD!

Daddy's Girl

When you were young, pony-tailed,
face full of playful freckles,
were you a daddy's girl?
I was. I still am.
Did you look to him for your security,
for love and attention,
for the understanding, and the patience you lacked
as a child?
My daddy was the center of my small world,
the focus of my affections,
the star that lit my life, shining bright.
Shining still in my heart.
The years have led me here,
weathered with maturity and responsibilities,
and I see more clearly now.
The hardships, burdens of love,
and all the small sacrifices he made for me,
for our family.
He created stability, a place to call home.
All the photographs I browse through
of a child long forgotten, scarcely remembered
smiling, so happy and so loved.
The mere thought of becoming that role model
is enough to send me cowering, afraid...
looking for guidance.
Turning to my father and my more for support,
advice, wise counsel, and for approval.
Grown up, I see differently now...
A new perspective of a man I have always known.
My heart is full, my emotions overpowering
just in the certainty of that bond.
He's been there for me through all the conflicts
helping me over the rough, ragged stones of growing up.
My respect for him is unending,
faith is unbound, and love is unquestioning.
Even in the midst of all my imperfections, he is lenient,
ignoring the pitfalls, the downfalls, the shortcomings,
he just accepted me as I was, as I am.
The sheer purity of it leaves me awe-struck
and it lifts me up, it holds my head a little higher,
it keeps me in balance,
harmonizing with the world around me
beautifully, like an inspired masterpiece from the soul
of an honest man.
I am honored to know him, to love him, to be of him.
He's my hero, and I am his daughter, his little girl.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DAD!! Happy Father's Day

I don't have a pic of my dad on this silly computer so i will have to download one a different time!

Happy Father's Day John

A Little Girl Needs Daddy poem A little girl needs Daddy For many, many things: Like holding her high off the ground Where the sunlight sings! Like being the deep music That tells her all is right When she awakens frantic with The terrors of the night. Like being the great mountain That rises in her heart And shows her how she might get home When all else falls apart. Like giving her the love That is her sea and air, So diving deep or soaring high She'll always find him there.

So it has been awhile!

Well it has been over a month since I posted a new post. There are many reasons for that. First of all John doens't bring his laptop home anymore and therefore i have to go downstairs and use the computer and my time is limited. I also don't really know what to write about. Do people care about my everyday life? I have read other peoples blogs and love following them, i am just not sure if i have what it takes to be a blogger. I have never been good at writing and so I am not sure what to do. Anyways for the time being I will give and update on what is happening in our household these days.
Recently John took all the pictures off his laptop and put them onto a memory stick and then onto our computer downstairs. Well somehow over half of the pictures are missing and we have no idea where they are! The pictures are from this past year and they are gone! Thank goodness i posted a lot of pictures on my blog and facebook that i have a decent amount of them but there are still some missing which makes me want to cry. We will continue to search for them on the laptop maybe they are hiding. Any suggestions?
The weather has been getting nicer and so the girls and I have been enjoying heading out to our local parks for a fun morning of play. It makes the day go by so much faster when the sun is shining. It makes me feel so much happier and way more energetic to wake up to the sun than when it rains.
This past weekend John took me and the girls to Kamploops for a weekend away. It just happened to land on mothers day and john surprised me with flowers in our hotel room. It was a wonderful weekend. We mainly went for the BC Wildlife zoo as we have yearly passes to the Vancouver Zoo which includes this zoo so it was free. It was such a gorgeous zoo and not busy at all. The girls did great during the day and as well as at night and the drive. They behaved so well we really didn't feel like coming home and when we did we kept talking abotu where and when we are going away again!!
Camryn is growing up so fast. She is 16months now and is just running around! She is starting to talk. She says sentences but only mommy understands them! She can make all animal noises. She loves reading and will sit on your lap for a long time with a book. She has a much longer attention span then Janae did and does! She likes to play along side Janae which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. She likes to walk around carrying her doll and giving it hugs and kisses. She loves water, so bath time is super fun and so is going swimming! When we mention the word bath she repeats it and then pulls her clothes off and heads to the bath tub where she attempts to climb in! She is getting so tall too. I need to measure her and weigh her but i will wait til she is 18months to do that! Camryn is sleeping through the night for the most part, she still will wake up for a bottle once and awhile but it is normally after an 8 hour stretch. She loves to sleep just like her mommy. I feed camryn a bottle before bedtime and nap time and just recently after she is finished her bottle she says "nun nite"and then waves to everyone. At nap time she will say "nun nite nae" which is what she calls Janae. Camryn is always concerend about Janae. When she is not in the room Camryn runs around yelling "NAE, NAE" and when she finds her she points and says,"there she is" well that is what is sorta sounds like!! I still haven't been able to get Camryn to eat fruit. She will eat in dessert but not on it's own. She doens't like sweet foods. Thank goodness other then that she is not a picky eater.

Janae is growing like a weed. She has grown 3 inches since her 2nd birthday and still only weighs 30lbs which is what Camryn weighs!! She talks and talks and talks. Recently i noticed she has picked up on how i talk and that is with my hands!! It is funny watching her, she also has picked up on how i use the word "like" alot! She sure talks like an adult sometimes. Kind of scary actually. Janae has learned how to ride a bike with training wheels and has also learned how to use the breaks! She loves helping me make supper and work outside, washing the van or gardening. She can be the biggest helper but also be a lot fo work too. Janae has good days and then really bad days. A good day will be one where she chooses to be a great sister and friend to Camryn which gives me a little break while they play together. A bad day is Janae will annoy and bug and be not so nice to camryn which causes me to stress out a bit and do a lot of time outs and sometimes yelling! Not always proud of the way I deal with some situations but sometimes your just not in control. I am sure most moms have felt out of control from time to time. Janae loves shopping and especially going to Save on Foods where she is able to have her own little buggy. Janae is so full of life and i am in awe of who she is becoming. Today while we were driving we were listening to Veggie tales and they were singing the song, " i can only imagine" this has to be one of my all time favorite songs. We listen to it quite a bit and today Janae sat in her car seat and sang the song word for word, it brought such a joy in my heart. What i loved the most is that when they sang, "will i dance for you Jesus" she would sing "when i dance for My Jesus" She loves reading her bible and hearing all the stories and she actually listens and asks multiple questions so she really understands it. She talks often about how God created her and the things around us. Each night she prays for each of us in our family and at dinner she will pray as if she is an adult thanking God for giving us food and family. It truly is amazing listening to your kids talk about Jesus.
So that's the news with the girls. They are such a blessing and i have realized that everyday is a blessing that i need to treasure whether it is a really good day or a rough day. God has given me these precious children to love and care and what a blessing that is.
John is busy working. For 4 months John was on workshare working 4 days a week. It was ok financially and we really loved having him home an extra day! A couple of weeks ago John's company went into skeleton mode and layed off the night shift and John's co worker. So now he is back to 5 days a week but on his own. Somedays he comes home pretty stressed out but we are reminded often that we nee dto be thankful that he has a job and is working.
We recently got a couple renting our basement suite, they are super nice and we couldn't be happier with our choice. This extra income sure helps out and makes it a little easier to breath.
Anywho i think this is enough babble for now. I think i have sort of got you caught up to the latest news.
