Time to say Goodbye

Today was a sad day. This morning I found out that a close friend of our family lost her mother suddenly this morning. And then this afternoon my Taunte Annalee passed away. So it has been a sad day.

well so far it has been an amazing weekend. John was told on thursday that everyone at remple brothers was getting a raise effective this monday and that they were getting friday and monday off with pay! So yesterday I hadthe Jefremow family over and made a meal for easter and Janae's birthday. I made potatoe salad, roasted potatoes, ham, fruit salad and paska for dessert! It went really well. Janae had a blast out side looking for all the goodies. It was fun for her cause she had 10 people all watching her and cheering her on! She had a present overload yesterday with it being her birthday and easter!
The best part of yesterday was at ngiht. We put together my old bed and decided it was time janae slept in her room, no more going to the couch, having a bottle in tehmiddle of the night. So we did the super nanny thing and put her in her room and kept putting her back in her bed til she was too tiredto get up anymore and realize that she was not goign to win this battle. John and i prepared ourselves to do this for several hours but it took all of half and hour and then she slept til 7 without waking up. well she fell out her bed once but it iddn't keepher awake john just put her back in bed and she went back to sleep!! Amazing! And now at nap time we went to her bed instead of the rocking chair she started crying but when seh saw me sit on her bed she realized that she wasn't going anywhere. And so she rolled onto her side and went to sleep just liek that! MAn what were we waiting for! Janae has also been peeing on the toilet! She tells me she has to pee and we go. I am not full blown doing the potty training thing just yet because we want her tobei n her bed and have that down before we start something else. However when janae does tell me i do take her to the potty I am just not putting her on their every half an hour or so yet! So ya we;ll see how tonight goes. WE are planning on going out for the afternoon and out for dinner for Janae;s party, not sure what we are doing yet I will post about today later. For now i will post some pictures of yesterday!

So how many of you out there need to lose a couple extra pounds before summer!! Well there is a show that might just help you out. Did any of you catch the premiere show of I can Make you Thin Sunday night at 9 on channal 34? Well if you didn't i am going ot do a recap of the four points he mentioned that are the golden rules to weight loss! If you have cable watch it this sunday as it is a series fo 5. Ok so i spent a long time yesterday writing a new blog with pics and everything and while a video was downloading all our windows closed and i lost it, but i know blogger saves your work as you go so how to i retrieve it?

You know what really sucks, is there are no pictures of all the kids! Pretty lame maybe annette has some!

So here's the low down on the birthday party. Saturday was super stressful because my dad was busy working outside and needed john to be out there. which left me with two demanding children and a house to clean and food to make! It was ok til about 2 when my dad realized that teh dad;s were invited to the party as well and john would be coming in. So my mom came over to do some work. She was out there in the freezing weather washing the driveway and rock retaining wall, three hours later she was done and her hands were purple! I felt so dumb cuase he we were inside havign a party while both my parents worked on our yard. I wouldnt' have cared if we were paying them for their time but seeings we arn't i felt pretty quilty. So ya everyone came out for the party. The kids played well together for the most part. JAnae got a new wardrobe, she got such cute clothes, thanks everyone! We ate hotdogs, veggies and dip, fruit and dip, chips and pop and DORA cake for dessert! The party was over as fast as it started. I dont' know why i love hosting parties and having people over cause i find i spend all my time in teh kitchen! oh well. So anyways the party was great and i think everyone had a pretty good time.

So yesterday i noticed while changing janae's diaper that she had a red spot on her tummy and by the end of the day it was a little bit bigger. and then this morning she wouldn't stop scartching it. I phoned the health nurse cuase janae had her chicken pox vaccine just under three weeks ago and i know teh side effects can come anywhere between 1-3 weeks. And sure enough this is the third week and yes it is chicken pox! This is the second spot we have found. Earlier last week she had one on her back but we didn't know what it was and didn't really pay attention to it but when the second one came i figured i should phoen and find out. APparently they can get a mild form of chicken pox. I asked the nurse if i should phone my friends to tell them as they were all here for janae's party and not all of them are immunize but she said i could but the chances of anyone getting it was pretty slim, so i hope that is true as i don't want camryn to get it either!

Birthday Party

Here's a picture of a dora cake i found on line, however my mold looks nothign like this my cake will look and taste better i hope!

Well as many of you know Janae is turning 2 next week on the 22nd and we are throwing her a friends birthday party this saturday! With our yard being redone i am a little overwhelmed with all the planning. It' s is a lot of work to go out to town these days seeings my car is parked up on the road so it's been a lot of work to go grocery shopiing for this party. But i did manage to get it done today! Well i have taken on the task of making a dora cake for janae' s birthday i will post the final product when i am done if it turns out to look like dora!!! So tomorrow i will make the cake and decorate it in the evening or sat morning!! We are just doing hotdogs for dinner and so i havne't made the dinner part anything fancy, it should be a lot of fun, hope both my girls runny noses are gone by then!! Has anyone out there made a theme cake before, if so what and do you have a picture?

Ok so i don't know what i am doing when i downloaded the pics because they are backwards this is suppose to be the last picture that you see so skip down to the bottom pic and work your way up!! sorry i will figure out how to do it properly next time! you have to imagine the yard being level to where john is in that hole and that there is a rock retaining wall that is U shape. Wait for the finish product. I believe by Tuesday it will be fully done, well my dads part maybe not the new plants or grass..anyone know where to get cheap sod,we want instant green grass!!

This is our drive way coming from the road, the retaining wall we are doing is on the right hand side, i forgot to tak e a pic of it yesterday but all the poles are out now and it's just dirt. We are making the drive way a couple feet wider as well on the right hand side there.

So it's quarter to 8am and my family is all still sleeping as janae is still on the old time clock! so yeah we all get to sleep in...well excepte me. Camryn slept through the night til 6am and then i fed her and she was up for half an hour and now has crashed and well i am awake! so i thought i would write a blog to update you on what is going on over here... outside my house. I looked out the window this morning and discovered a big dirt mound in my front lawn, all my shrubs and stairway and arch have dissapeared and i am left with is a big dirt pile and a hi hoe sitting in my yard! I am so excited my dad was finally able to fit us in in his very busy work schedule to do our yard. We live in a hole and so our whole yard is a hill! So there really is no yard space for the kidlets to play.> Janae and i played in the pool in summer in the front lawn and water only was on half the pool!! So the plan is to level out the front yard and give us a good flat surface and then build a 6 ft rock retaining wall in a U shape and then build a fence ontop and flatten the ground and then build another 2 ft retianing wall and then flatten that area to the road so our tenants have a nice parking spot. And then we have to replace our rotting retaining wall on the otehr side of our drive way. And that is all we are doing thsi time around as my dad has four days to complete this project as he is very busy with work. So here are some picutres i will try and describe them the best way that i can so you can picture how our yard looks like!

I also had a progressive day inside the house. Janaes first birthday party is next weekend so i want the hosue to be spot less. well i always want the house to be spotless but that doesnt' ever happen! So i cleaned up the living room and put away some of janae's toys cuase she has so many and doenst' play with them and then I washed the floor and not just around the chairs but i actually moved the chairs this time and really washed the floor!! and that was about it but it sure looks great!

I thought i downloaded their information right but when you click on it an error pops up. What address do i type to get to them. I originally went to a persons site adn copied the address a nd then pasted it into the section it thought i was suppose to but that obviously didn't work. Just had to brag and show you my latest picture i took of my girls that acutally turned out nice. It is tricky getting pics of the girls together nicely cause Camryn dones't sit and janae holding her just doenst really work yet. But i was able to capture this precious moment. And so i want to share it with all of you!

I was finally able to get Camryn on tape cooing! Everytime i tried she would stop tlaking the minute i put the camera in her face. So this time i did while john was playing with her. So enjoy her little noises!

double stroller

Here's a pic of my new stroller i bougth last weekend! Pretty nice hey!! Well it should be for $300.00! Yeppers they arn't cheap. Which is why we did a lot of research about double strollers before purchasing one. My friend Annette was also in the market for a double stroller so as a team we came up with our final decision on which one we think is the best one out there for a decent price. This stroller is the newest model of the graco double strollers it is called Graco Quattro Tour Duo Glidder or something like that. This color pattern shown above is only availbale at toys r us but you can get this stroller in black and silver at the bay or sears. The going price is $299.99 but this week at toys are us you save $50.00 so my total with tax was like $279.00. I don't know how many of you have looked at double strollers but there is a difference in size and weight on them and how they handle so with pushing two kids you want ot think ahead at what will be enjoyable to push and this is definetley awesome to push!! I believe each seat can hold up to 50 pounds a car seat carrier is able to sit in the front or back seat. It has suspension and turns corners amazingly!! And ot top it all off it folds into almost the same size as a regular stroller, alittle bit longer and a little heavier but it is great!! So there you have it. When we first started looking we were really interested in teh sit and stand one but after Annette tried it her review came back very negative and i also was told by another girl that she bought one and hates it. So make sure when you are looking for that perfect double stroller that you do your homework!! Now i jsut need to convince john to buy the matching car seat that goes with the stroller, that is a whopping $160.00 expensive hey! Well if any of you woul d like to try out my stroller let me know. Maybe i will go the distance and be really lame and video tape myself folding the stroller and giving an online commercial, i will have to do my hair before that video is done so hang in there!
One other little thing for all you american shoppers this stroller is $139.00 in the states at walmart and target adn it comes in grey out there as well as the black. So that is another idea. Oh and Costco out here online has it as well for $169.00 i think or around there but then you hav eot order it online and i don't know how to do all that crap!.
THis stroller can be dangerous if not driven carefully!! Here's what happened the first day i took the girls out in it! We were shopping around sears and i was manuvering inbetween all the clothes racks and i stopped to look at an outfit when i hear Janae yell < "Mommy Clothes" i look over and see that i have driven the stroller right into a rack of clothes and janae is underneath as i pull the stroller back to get her out from the clothes i realize that there wa s a metal clothes rack sticking out and on janae's foreheard is a big red mark. Oops, i guessi rammed her head into the clothes rack, OUCH!! So remember it may be amazing to drive and is shorter then some double strollers but it's not as short as your single so pay atttention!!

where does time go

Jeepers, i can't ever seem to find time to post a new blog, i don't know how soem of you do it. All i know is that for me if i get a chance to get on the computer by the time i am done catching up on everyone's blogs i don'thave time to write one myself. The other thing is i don't really know what to write about? I could tell you my everyday stories but that might be boring. A cousin of mine started a blog and she gives out advice and writes these amazing articles and i think that is so cool!! (I am talking about you Larina!) and so i don't have the time to do stuff like that the only thing i can do and do it well is brag about my little ones!! so anyways that is what i am thinking about. Not sure what to do with this blog anymore. I mean if you as readers want to know just my everyday things and thoughts then let me know and i will continue with that. Give me some ideas of what to do !!
