Happy Birthday!

Today is a special day. It is the birthday of my Oma(my mom's mom) who passed away November 21,2007 after having poor health for sometime. She would have turned 88 today. This is her second birthday that she has spent in heaven. We all miss her very much. I sure miss her verneka(menno perogies), meatballs, and her pickels (have yet to find a pickel that can replace hers) Janae was able to meet my oma and have her in her life for 18 months before she passed away. Janae was able to come and visit her in the hospital and even to this day remembers going to see her and refusing to say hi to her. Janae says now, "omi's with Jesus and she is so HAPPY!" I love that Janae remembers her but it's sad to think that she will forget her memories of Omi. I on the other hand of many memories of Oma that i will cherish for ever. Happy 88th Birthday Oma!! We love you so much.

Oma meeting Janae for the first time. Oma missed meeting Camryn by a month. Oma would have loved holding Camryn. Janae was such a fussy baby that no one could hold her for long but Camryn would have snuggled in Oma's arms and savoured the moment.
Oma and Opa at their 60th anniversary. This was just before she got really sick and hospitalized and never made it back home, to her earthly home that is. This is also the last picture I have of her before she passed way.
